1. General Information

Tembo Kiwengwa Beach Resort (“the Resort,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates in Zanzibar, Tanzania. These Terms apply to all guests, visitors, and users of our website and services.

2. Reservations & Bookings

• All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
• To secure a reservation, valid payment information or a deposit may be required.
• Once confirmed, you will receive a booking confirmation via email outlining the details of your stay.
• Guests must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation.

3. Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in time: From 2:00 PM
• Check-out time: By 11:00 AM
• Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.
• A valid government-issued ID or passport is required upon check-in for all guests.

4. Payment Policy

• Payment methods accepted include major credit/debit cards, online payments, or cash in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS), US Dollars (USD), or Euros (EUR).
• All rates are quoted per room per night, inclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated.
• The Resort reserves the right to pre-authorize credit cards prior to arrival.
• Any additional charges incurred during your stay must be settled upon check-out.

5. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

• Free cancellation is available within the period stated in your booking confirmation.
• Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to one night’s stay or as specified in the booking terms.
• Refunds will be processed through the same payment method used for the booking, subject to applicable bank or transaction fees.

6. Guest Responsibilities

• Guests must behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, and property.
• Any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment caused by guests will be charged accordingly.
• Illegal activities, including possession or use of illicit substances, are strictly prohibited.
• Pets are not allowed unless otherwise approved by management.

7. Resort Facilities & Services

Access to certain facilities (e.g., the pool, gym, spa, paddle court) may be subject to additional terms, operating hours, or service charges. The Resort reserves the right to close or limit access to certain facilities without prior notice for maintenance or safety reasons.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we take great care to ensure your safety and comfort, Tembo Kiwengwa Beach Resort shall not be held liable for:

• Loss or damage to personal belongings
• Injury, illness, or accidents occurring on the property, unless due to our negligence
• Force majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, government actions, etc.)
• Interruptions to utilities or services beyond our control

9. Website Use

• All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Tembo Kiwengwa Beach Resort and protected by copyright laws.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of this website without prior written permission.
• We make every effort to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date; however, we do not warrant that all content is free from errors or omissions.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Zanzibar.

12. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect once published on our website. Continued use of our services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
